Creating Reports

Reports/Administration Menu

Time and Billing creates several reports that allow you to create invoices, track projects, billing, work hours, etc. Each of these reports are presented from Microsoft Word® templates that are included in the application. This has both advantages and drawbacks.

The advantage is that the reports are created as Microsoft Word® documents, instead of some odd report format that must be exported into a widely used word processing format in order to present it to your customers.

The drawback, of course, is that you must have Microsoft Word® 2000 or higher installed on your computer in order to make the reports work. The decision to use Microsoft Word was an intentional one, since the vast majority of businesses use Word as their standard word processing tool.

Since different reports use different parameters, you will be prompted to provide additional paramteters for the reports if appropriate. For instance Several require either a date range (which is already defaulted to display the previous two weeks).

When you have selected a report and entered the required parameters, the report will be generated as a Microsoft Word® document.
